Room 4 have been reading 2 class novels Sunken Forset which is not yet complete and 1918 concluding our study of World War 1 and 2.

Level 2 - Covid 19 - the new normal for school

Back at school in Level 2 this week - our class layout has changed a lot.

We are now sitting spaced out with no mat space and limited use of any shared areas or equipment.  It has taken a bit of adjusting but now seems after 3 days to be well adjusted to.

Tennis lessons with Whaea Wendy

We are lucky enough to have started tennis lessons with Wendy.  Lots of fun and great learning with ball skills.

Stem creating bridges with straws and paper last week

Stem in week 3 - creating the strongest bridge - we tested them with lots of heavy books.  Some students took awhile to get their heads around the purpose of a bridge - to span a gap between two places.

Rooms 3, 4 and 5 have combined to work together to undertake stem exploration and challenges

Here students created their own blocks and then attempted to use them to build the tallest tower.

Swim safety with Matua Caleb

We have been learning about water safety this term.  Today we were learning how to save others with things like rope or pool noodles.

Resilience charging

Room 4 are engaging in the resilience kit - helping us focus on how we react to change.  Students are thinking about feelings and how they react to things happening in their lives.
