Swimming sports were early this year

We had a wonderful morning at our senior swimming sports - very early in week 4 this year. Then our Western Zone got postponed due to Covid level 2 last week - waiting on news of another date in the coming weeks. Lots of our class made a great effort to swim two length races - ka pai Room 4.

Happenings

We had the tractor trek visit us with a wonderful talk about feelings and managing emotions - the big message being to talk to someone if you are not feeling happy about things.

Room 4's active start to 2021

Room 4 have been enjoying daily swimming alondside weekly dodge ball, capture the flag, ki o rahi and have even had a session of tennis with Wendy. We love Matua Derek and Matua Paulo coming in to share in games with us. We have also had two weeks in Level 2, a fire in the community and a tsunami evacuation which saw us up the hill in Pukepoto for the day - what a start 2021!

Level 2 - Covid 19 - the new normal for school

Back at school in Level 2 this week - our class layout has changed a lot.

We are now sitting spaced out with no mat space and limited use of any shared areas or equipment.  It has taken a bit of adjusting but now seems after 3 days to be well adjusted to.
